The short version: your sales reports, your customers' names and addresses, and your cost prices are read and stored on your own computer. They are never uploaded, and there is nowhere for them to go — we do not run a service that could receive them.
Who is responsible
Ecommerce Profit Pulse, a sole proprietorship registered in India. We are the data fiduciary for the small amount of personal data described below, and you can reach us at support@ecommerceprofitpulse.com.
The desktop application
It collects nothing and sends nothing. When you load an Amazon orders report or transaction report, the file is parsed in memory on your machine. The cost prices you type and the results you generate are written to a database file on your own disk. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
That includes the parts of the reports that are genuinely sensitive — buyer names, shipping addresses, order IDs, phone numbers. We never see them, cannot request them, and would not want a copy.
The application makes exactly one network request, and only when it
starts: an HTTPS GET for a small file at
ecommerceprofitpulse.com/updates/latest.json, to find out whether a
newer version exists. It sends no report data, no identifier and no licence key. As
with any request to any website, our host records the usual server-log fields — IP
address, timestamp, and the client's user-agent string. We do not use those to build
a profile and do not connect them to a customer. If you are offline the request fails
quietly and the rest of the app works normally.
This website
Static pages on Cloudflare Pages. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts — there is no JavaScript on this site at all. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and abuse prevention, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees the request for the font files.
When you buy a licence
This is the only point at which we hold personal data about you.
| What we store | Your email address, the plan you bought, the licence key issued to you, the amount paid, the Razorpay payment ID, and the issue and expiry dates. |
|---|---|
| Why | To issue the key, to email it to you, to answer "I lost my key", to process a refund, and to remind you before the licence expires. |
| Where | A Cloudflare D1 database in Cloudflare's network. |
| What we never store | Card numbers, UPI IDs, bank details, or anything from your sales reports. |
Payment itself is handled entirely by Razorpay Software Private Limited. Your card, UPI or netbanking details are entered on Razorpay's page and go to Razorpay, never to us. Their handling of that data is governed by Razorpay's privacy policy.
Who else touches your data
- Razorpay — takes the payment and tells our server a payment succeeded.
- Resend — sends the email containing your licence key.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website, the licence server and its database, and forwards mail sent to our support address.
That is the entire list. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and we do not send marketing email to people who bought a licence unless they asked for it.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept for eight years after the transaction, because Indian tax law requires books and records to be retained. Support emails are kept for two years and then deleted. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove everything we are not legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, or withdraw consent for its use. Email support@ecommerceprofitpulse.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge, and we will not ask you why.
Children
This is a tool for registered businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Security
Everything is served over HTTPS. The licence database is reachable only by our own server code, and licence keys are cryptographically signed so that possessing one does not let anyone mint another. Because the app is offline by design, the largest category of risk — a central store of sellers' order data — does not exist here at all.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are emailed to licence holders.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, write to support@ecommerceprofitpulse.com. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days.
